Make Your Voice Heard
Your Vote - Our Voice
The upcoming municipal election on October 26, 2026, represents a critical turning point for the future of the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands. With voter turnout hitting a historic low of just 30.3% in 2022—down from 46% in 2018—our community cannot afford to sit on the sidelines any longer.Â

71% of our council did not receive a single vote from outside the council in order to be on that council. The Mayor was acclaimed and 4 council members were appointed by council.

Every vote cast this October carries immense weight in determining who will lead our township. From the property taxes you pay to the maintenance of our roads, parks, and essential everyday services. The decisions made by the next council will directly impact your wallet and your quality of life for years to come.Â

This election is your opportunity to vote for a council that will responsibly manage your hard-earned tax dollars, champion smart local business development, and protect the unique character of our community.
Â
Your participation is vital. Let’s work together to build a more accountable, vibrant, and prosperous Leeds and the Thousand Island.
