Better Business
    The EDC was disbanded by council shortly after the last election. Local small and home businesses report they have suffered as a result of this lack of communication avenue with council. We can correct this failing by:

1)Â Â Reactivating the EDC to drive sustainable local economic
    growth.

2)Â Â Uniting local business owners with council to cut red tape and
    reduce costs for startup ventures.
​
3)Â Â Encouraging new home-based, storefront, and corporate business.
​
4)Â Â Marketing plans designed to attract jobs and tourism while
    supporting local business.

5)Â Â Creating youth mentorship programs created to keep local talent
    in our township and encourage entrepreneurship.
​
   A community that supports local business generates more revenue for the township in the long run than does simply raising taxes. More jobs means a more stable housing market and promotes healthy family finance.
